Apply to be on the Penticton Arena Task Force

Citizens suggested the City set up a committee to answer the question "do we fix or replace Memorial Arena"? At the November 15 Council Meeting, the City shared the proposed Terms of Reference for a new Penticton Arena Task Force to determine the future for Memorial Arena as well as answer the question about our arena needs as a whole in light of our infrastructure deficit. The City is now accepting applications for the seven members who will represent the community at large. In order to get a balanced perspective, the City is seeking applicants with a background in:

        • Architecture, construction or engineering

        • Finance, accounting or taxation

        • Economic development or marketing

        • History of hockey in Penticton

        • Heritage of Memorial Arena

        • Arena operations and requirements
