Future of 'El Rancho' Motor Hotel Property

The property owner of 877 Westminster Avenue, home to the El Rancho Motor Hotel, has submitted a letter of intent to the City of Penticton to redevelop this site as a residential development. This proposal would require an amendment to the City’s Official Community Plan to change the designation from Tourist Commercial to Urban Residential.

Before the property owner takes the next step to fully develop a proposal for this site, the City would like to understand whether or not residents are open to changing the ‘future land use’ of this property. Residents are invited to watch a video, review the information on this site, and complete the feedback form before August 9 .
