Consultation has concluded

Engagement in this project is now complete. You can read the contributions from the community in the documents section.

The City would like to hear from businesses located in Penticton’s industrial area to gain a deeper understanding about safety and security issues as well as actions being taken to deter crime.

The City is working closely with Bylaw Services, the Safety and Security Advisory Committee and Penticton RCMP to improve security in the area. Recent efforts include increased patrols and new signage throughout providing phone numbers to report any suspicious incident. In addition, a new digital toolkit at penticton.ca/saysomething provides the following tips and resources:

  • Find out about how to book your free RCMP security assessment.
  • Read tips to deter criminals from targeting your business, based on the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) method.
  • Access information about how to report an incident at the click of a button.

You're invited to share your experience and complete the feedback form below before January 17, 2021 (extended). Registration is not required and responses are completely anonymous. This information will help guide the development of a plan and the City’s next steps.
