The Lakawanna Park playground and spray park were built in 2000, and now after over 20 years of use, they are in need of renewal. Drawing on goals and priorities outlined in various City policies and master plans, preliminary design options have been developed to make the park more accessible, fun and safe for children, neighbors, and visitors alike. Your input will be used to refine the design, with project construction estimated to begin in Fall 2025.

How can I participate?

  • Review the materials
  • Attend either or both walkshop events at Lakawanna Park:
    Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 from 10 am - 12 pm
    Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 1 pm to 3 pm
  • Complete a feedback form before Sunday, Nov. 17

Combining the goals and priorities set out in existing City policies and master plans, two preliminary design options have been developed to make the park more accessible, fun and safe for users of all ages. Your input will be used to refine the design, with project construction estimated to begin in fall 2025. Feedback will be collected through to November 17, 2024.
