All throughout Penticton, we're seeing examples of the community coming together to show support for one another amid COVID-19.

From the 7 o'clock cheer to chalk art messages and hearts in windows, we want to make sure these expressions of gratitude are not forgotten.

This is a place for you to connect. Share your stories, ideas and feedback and help us document this time, while keeping spirits high.

The City will also share content here to keep everyone engaged.

I am appreciating the Penticton Farmers Market making great strides in setting up their online version and seeing it in action in the parking lot of the Community Centre. What better way, during this pandemic, to show appreciation for supporting local businesses, especially farmers.

Even though churches were not open, the Good News message of Easter was still alive and well.

April Easter weekend I put this sign on our front lawn, hoping it brought good News and love to several people passing by our Skaha Park neighbourhood.

    Making Face Masks

by Linda Middlestead, almost 4 years ago

I wanted to do something helpful for my family, friends and community. I started sewing face masks for everyone but did not charge anything for them. I asked for donations instead and was able to donate $300. to the Food Bank and $250. in cash, food and supplies to the SPCA. I'm hoping to continue sewing to help keep everyone safer and to continue with my fund raising.

My neighbors and I are also banging pots and pans and ringing bells every night at 7:00 to thank our help care and support workers.
