Consultation has concluded

The City is planning to replace the water and sanitary sewer main on Ridgedale Avenue beginning in the next few months. Residents in the area can expect traffic, access and utility disruptions during the construction. With this work, there is also an opportunity to narrow the road when the work is finished. Narrowed roads can provide many benefits to residential areas such as reduced vehicle speeds and wider boulevards that provide more opportunities for sidewalks and landscaping. For the City, narrowed roads can reduce the long-term maintenance costs of the asphalt, reduce runoff going to our creeks and lakes, and reduce the costs associated with keeping roads clear of snow in the winter. Narrowed roads would result in a reduction of the amount of on-street parking that is available on the street. Residents can share their feedback about the work here.
