Consultation has concluded
UPDATE: The engagement period is closed. After a public hearing resulted in changes by the applicant, Council approved the next step for an eight-unit development at 770 Argyle Street.
The project is a multi-family development on the property that features four duplex buildings (eight dwelling units). Staff notes the proposed development has been designed with the Official Community Plan policies in mind and with consideration of impacts on neighbouring property owners.
The City has received an application to construct a multifamily development at 770 Argyle Street. The proposal consists of five, 3-storey duplexes, totaling 10 dwelling units. The development would allow for 3-bedrooms in each dwelling unit. This proposal would require an amendment to the City’s Official Community Plan to change the future land use designation on the property from Detached Residential to Ground Oriented Residential.
Before the application is presented to City Council, the City would like to gather feedback from residents about the ‘future land use’ of this property. Residents are invited to review this information and share your feedback before Sunday, May 15, 2022. Paper copies of the feedback form can be completed at the Penticton Public Library.
