UPDATE: Thank you for your feedback. Results are now under review and will be shared with staff and school administration. A draft plan will be developed and brought back for review.

The Safe Routes to School program aims to create a safe and comfortable environment for students to walk, wheel, and roll to school wherever possible. To facilitate this review, the City is partnering with the school district, school administration, caregivers, and students to understand school travel choices and identify any existing transportation challenges and opportunities for improvement.

The City is looking for feedback from the community to understand new or persistent school travel related issues at Uplands and Carmi Elementary. Your input will inform the development of an action plan to identify safe ways for children to walk, bike or roll to school and including areas to improve active transportation options like sidewalks and road crossings.
