Phase 2
We are now entering the second phase of engagement and are inviting you to share your thoughts and ideas on defining our community’s vision for the KVR Trail, establish the project’s objectives, and identify additional features and amenities that could enhance the trail experience.
Your feedback is essential and will be collected until December 12, 2025.
Phase 1
The City of Penticton is developing a KVR Trail Strategy to shape the future of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail through Penticton. This plan will guide how the trail is improved, celebrated, and better connected to support recreation, transportation, tourism, and community wellbeing.
As the community grows and trail use increases, the City wants to make sure the trail continues to serve residents and visitors in safe, accessible, and inspiring ways. The strategy will:
Identify key improvements for trail infrastructure and access
Explore ideas for wayfinding, amenities, and safety
Highlight opportunities for community events, storytelling, and heritage
Consider how the trail connects across neighbourhoods, nature, and culture
Provide an action plan for future investment and stewardship
How can I participate?
Review the information available at shapeyourcitypenticton.ca
Pin the map! Place a pin where you value the KVR and where you think it could use improvements
